How to Suggest Your Free Web Directory

Great! Our directory list is well-travelled & inclusion there may bring some good traffic to your site.

Please see below for the criteria used to determine which directories make the list. (You might also be interested to read my article about what makes a quality directory.)

Keep in mind that I check out each directory suggested (and often submit a site or two to see what happens) before adding it to our list. If I don't add your directory now, if it shows promise I may still add it to my "watch list" for future consideration.

what we're looking for

• Your site must be a directory - not a regular website.
• A free submission option (no reciprocal required)
• Homepage PR3 or better (if lower we may add to a watch list)
• Ideally, PR on the listings pages
• SEO-friendly
• Direct links & no use of nofollow
• Well designed, and no broken images or other malfunctions
• Not overwhelmed with ads
• Not overwhelmed with advertisements unrelated to listings
• High quality of websites listed; appropriate, well-written listings in categories
• No link farms, or directories which approve every submission
• Free submissions approved (or not) fairly quickly - 1 month max, preferably less
• No adult sites listed
