The search engine robots (also called spiders, crawlers, or bots) can't read images or Flash, and they don't care about the layout of your site. What they do care about is what words appear on your site and in what combination.

Use the tool below to see your webpage as spiders do. If the results don't show the keywords for which you'd like to be found, revise your text.

Google pagerank (PR)

PageRank is a value (from 1-10) representing the approximate importance that Google assigns to each webpage. (For instance, Google & NASA are 10, Microsoft & CNN are 9, Oprah & Fender Guitars are 7, Quanta Webdesign is a 5.) Read our article about pagerank.

This tool checks your rank on Google's various datacenters. They'll usually all be the same; if they differ Google is probably about to update their pagerank (this happens 3 or 4 times a year).

Google PageRank, Alexa, and link popularity checker
