Poet, playwright and novelist Michael McClure and the late Ray Manzarek, keyboardist for The Doors, met at The Doors' third recording session. Their spoken work / jazz collaboration spanned thirty years. During that time they performed together throughout the United States, and released several CDs and a DVDs.
